This recipe came from Ellen’s Great Aunt Polly. When we posted this picture on Instagram and Facebook we received some comments from relatives. “Rhubarb always reminds me of Aunt Polly. Rhubarb sauce!” and “Yes!!! I remember Aunt Polly making that pie…recipe please?”. So why not share the recipe.
- 1 heaping cup of rhubarb cut fine
- 3 eggs
- 1.5 cups of milk
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of flour
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
- pinch of salt
- Pie crust for one crust pie
Bake @ 450 F for 10 minutes
350 F for around 30 more minutes
