Weekend of September 26 th

It is hard to believe that Autumn is here. This past Sunday the temperatures were more fall like and there was a lot of activity around the orchards. This weekend it is forecast to be another beautiful fall weekend. It is apple picking time!

This week there have been a number of school groups here, mostly nursery and kindergarten. They get a talk in the barn from Ellen on how apples grow. Some elect to go for a hayride and pick a bag of apples. They usually have a snack before heading back to school. A number of parents accompany their children as chaperones and they get a discount for apples they pick.

I had a newsletter subscriber ask me for more detail about "drops". I intend to write a short article on drops and post it to our website blog. I also will give more detail on what happened to this year's corn maze.

Below you will find a video on Capt. Jack's Donut Tree. Matt (Jack's son) put this video together. If you like it please share it.
